Wilsons global fame was amplified when she was joined the show to play Alison Lockhart. A troubled young lady named Alison Lockhart has a dark history and falls in the love of Noah Solloway. Wilson received the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress of a Television Series in Drama 2015, along with Mauratierney and Joshua Jackson. Wilson in an interview with British Vogue back in 2015 told British Vogue that she loved being able to play characters with two different perspectives. Noah imagines Alison's confident and irresponsible sexy side. But she sees her self in a different manner, as someone who is unassuming and pretentious from the inside. She continued: "I do believe America is moralistic and judgmental, so what happens in the show is surprising." Wilson has since left the show much to the surprise of viewers. But, Wilson was very cryptic regarding further information. In an interview in August of 2018 on CBS This Morning, Wilson stated that she did wish to quit the show, but was not permitted to discuss the reasons behind her departure. Wilson's film career has increased in recent times. In 2016 she starred in the horror flick I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House and, in 2017, she was the mysterious character PT Stella in the sci-fi romance How to Talk to Girls at Parties. To include more horror movies to her credits list, she will star in the British film adaptation of The Little Stranger. This supernatural thriller is based off the novel by Sarah Waters. Wilson will also be executive producing the film.
